Lisbon Day 3

Thursday 3 May 2012  - Lisbon –Estoril
Day 20 and 137 to go.

A sleep in Yippee. With Estoril only 30min away and not needing to be out of the park before 7pm we didn’t rise until 10. It was nice listening to the rain bucketing down outside though it had cleared by the time we got out and had breakfast, which included the first of the pastel das natas. Good breakfast.
We cleaned ourselves up before going back to the Internet room to finish off the catch up of the blog.
We returned to the van and at 12 we were heading out of the park and on our way to the Estoril circuit. We had to go through a toll road this time but it was only 1.75Euro. Not so bad.
The circuit was easy to locate and we were told to park up. There was a lot happening with the initial set up of the paddocks.
We found the ticket booth only to be told we couldn’t get out tickets today, which we already knew. We were really there just to suss out how to get there and if there was campgrounds. Unfortunately there was not. So we turned around and headed back to the Lisbon campground.
We booked in for a further 3 nights and returned to our spot before having lunch. We figured seeing we would be here for a bit longer we would put a heap of washing through. While waiting for the cycle to run we sat on the Internet again, catching up with home.
When the washing was finished we wandered around the park checking it all out as it is so massive. 380 000m2! There are 2 pools 3 tennis courts, soccer, mini golf and70 chalets. There is room for 1800 people.

We returned to the van got cleaned up and caught the 530 bus into town. We did a quick wander before it started to rain again so we jumped into an Italian restaurant and enjoyed dinner and a bottle of rose Matteus.

We continued our wander and picked up a couple of souvenirs before getting back on the bus that shakes the beejesus out of your fillings.
We were back by 915 and ready to call it a night again ready for day 1 of Estoril.
