There’s a lurgy in town, or so mum has heard and seeing Dad
over the past few days I would say he has had it and now he has passed it on to
me. Most of my night was spent semi awake battling a gurgling stomach. I was in
no fit state for much today.
A hive of activity was occurring outside the van as Brad
packed up the tent and began to pack up all and sundry while the kids scooted
around him with the noise trailing by. I
managed to down some of my breakfast, but no sooner had I my stomach began to
protest loudly. Great.
By 9am the Johns clan were packed and ready to head back to
Perth. Goodbyes said, we waved them off down the drive then retreated to the
couch. I was in a zombie state, aware of people and noise but not able to
interact.
Manjimup Toyota delivered our new Hyundai Getz just before
10am. That certainly was the easiest way to buy a car. So glad to have little
wheels again. Paul seemed pretty impressed with the replacement lunch box. I
took it for a quick spin around the block. It handled well and felt a little
more solid than the Charade.
Paul convinced me to go to Albany with him so we could
complete the transfer and organise window tinting. I was able to get some shuteye
in the passenger seat during the 40 min trip. Unfortunately, when we arrived at
the licensing centre their computers were down, so we weren’t able to complete
the transfer. A job for another day. It was then a travel around different
parts of town to chase up things needed for the car before coming back home.
I flaked on the couch and rested up. Happy to have nothing
to do. We were able to watch the final quarter of the Wildcats match. So great
to see the team have another win.
With tea done, I was off to bed.
